Education Series for Working Professionals

Stautzenberger College, Brecksville is pleased to announce its 2012 series of continuing education programs for working professionals. All programs are targeted to the latest topics of interest and application in their respective fields, and are eligible for the award of continuing education units from various accreditation bodies and professional organizations.

Programs will be offered in the fields of Massage Therapy, Nutrition and Veterinary Practice . Our programs will include:

Massage Therapy Series:
“Expanding the Horizons of Personal Wellness & Performance”

Today’s medical care has undergone a radical shift from “treatment” to “prevention”. Such emphasis on whole-body wellness means that Complementary and Alternative Medicine is fast becoming a realistic and accepted form of treatment for individuals who otherwise might have “gone under the knife,” and/or faced a lifetime of prescription medications.

Stautzenberger College’s 2012 Professional Development Series is specifically designed for those who work with individuals attempting to better their physical wellbeing. The seminars will train practitioners in alternative methods of treatment that can help their clientele enhance athletic performance, increase mobility, and alleviate symptoms of dysfunction.

Topics are relevant and enlightening for a variety of health care and athletic professionals. All sessions include both practical and experiential instruction. For your comfort, please plan to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and refrain from wearing scented products such as lotions, perfumes or colognes.

Veterinary Practice Series:

"A Changing Focus on the Patient -and the Practice"

Whether you’re a veterinarian, technician, or practice manager, today’s fast-changing, consumer-oriented veterinary health care environment is likely to leave you with a bewildering array of questions. Do I know all I need to know? Am I following the best possible course for each patient? Am I spending time, money, or effort where I should be? What new developments are out there, and what do my clients really want?

As one of Ohio’s premier facilities for veterinary technology education, we think we should be helping practicing professionals address these issues — and more. That’s why we’re pleased to present Stautzenberger College’s Continuing Professional Development series for 2012.

Our seminars this year will focus on some of the most critical emerging topics in both patient care and practice management. Two seminars will explore the efficacy and implementation of holistic medicine (from both the client and the practice perspectives). Two others will delve into rapidly changing areas in our field: laboratory diagnostics and pain management.
