Is working with animals your calling in life?

If you have always had a passion for animals, a career as a Veterinary Office Assistant may be your calling.

Our online Veterinary Office Assistant Certificate (VOAC) has been designed as a short-term 16 week online experience that prepares graduates to provide effective veterinary office administration and to serve as a vital members of the veterinary health care team. This program provides emphasis on activities relating to veterinary office administration, financial procedures relevant to veterinary practice, communicating effectively and compassionately with clients, managing medical records, budgeting, marketing, managing inventory, and common health issues in veterinary practice.

Please note that this is an online instuctor lead course.

This program is designed to prepare the student to take the Veterinary Office Assistant Certification (CVOA) exam through the National Career Certification Board.

 

Job Outlook: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics overall job opportunities for veterinary assistants and laboratory animal caretakers are expected to be excellent. Employment opportunities for Veterinary Office Assistants are expected to experience close to a 20% rise in employment through 2016, accounting for nearly 40,000 new jobs. Industry growth will/ has been spurred by a growing pet population and advancements in veterinary medicine.*

  • Tuition Cost: $2750  * Course text not included in tuition fee.
  • Registration Fee: $35 registration fee is due at time of application

  • Admissions Requirement: GED or high school diploma required.
