Stautzenberger College, Brecksville Named to ACICS Honor Roll!

This spring, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools named Stautzenberger College, Brecksville to its list of Honor Roll Institutions.

ACICS is a national accrediting body that is recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. ACICS is one of the organizations responsible for ensuring that colleges that receive Title IV funding from the federal government meet certain minimum standards and outcomes designed to ensure that students receive quality educations and that federal financial aid dollars are well spent. Each year, ACICS chooses a small number of its 680 member institutions to recognize with the Honor Roll distinction. These 680 institutions enroll over 650,000 students around the world. In choosing colleges to name to the list, ACICS focuses on how well colleges meet ACICS standards and produce outcomes that benefit their students. Since 2007, Stautzenberger College, Brecksville has hosted ACICS for three site visits. During these visits, ACICS experts have spent significant time reviewing student files, speaking with staff and faculty and interviewing students and employers of Stautzenberger graduates. In each instance,the site teams commended the college for its outstanding performance and found no areas of non-compliance.

In his letter notifying the college of the great news, Dr. Albert C. Gray, Executive Director and CEO of ACICS, stated, “your institution demonstrated exemplary standards and a clear understanding of the ACICS Accreditation Criteria . . . . Congratulations on this achievement.”

The College is thrilled to receive this recognition of the dedication of its many employees to the vision that the Stautzenberger experience is and should be unique!
