Students interested in transfer of credit must authorize the College to request an official transcript and, under some conditions, must submit the statement of academic and attendance policy from the previous institution.

Stautzenberger College reserves the right to request that a student who has successfully completed a course at another institution take a proficiency examination to confirm that the level of proficiency meets the standards of Stautzenberger College. Such requests may be made at any point prior to a student’s graduation from Stautzenberger College.

To award transfer credit, Stautzenberger must receive an official transcript sent from the transfer institution. Course descriptions from the catalog of the transfer institution may also be required. The College reviews the request and may grant or deny credit based upon collegiate course level, credit hours, grades, and course content. After determining which courses will be accepted for credit, the maximum time frame will be adjusted to reflect the accepted transfer credits. Why should I choose a career college over a traditional four-year college or community college?
Career colleges not only provide individual benefits to our students, such as programming targeted at the employment needs in Northeast Ohio, but also provide wider benefits to the community as a whole. It would cost Ohio an additional $44 million annually if career college students were forced to attend non-profit institutions instead. Unlike non-profit colleges, career colleges pay taxes. Career colleges contributed more than $20 million in taxes to support their local public K-12 schools and community services. In fact, career colleges generated more than $348 million of local economic activity, employed nearly 5,400 people in the State of Ohio, and paid over $1.23 million in wages in this state in 2006.

When do classes start?
Stautzenberger College offers rolling admissions. That means that a student may begin classes four times a year. For a complete calendar, please see our catalog.

How many Stautzenberger College graduates stay in the area post-graduation?
Over 92% of our graduates remain in Northeast Ohio post-graduation. That means that the knowledge and skills they learn at Stautzenberger are retained for the benefit of our communities, instead of moving out-of-state for the benefit of other communities.
