Is working with animals your calling in life? Train to be a veterinary technician.
|
Are you a fan of sloppy wet kisses? If you have always wanted to work with animals, a career in Veterinary Technology may be your calling!
Stautzenberger College’s Veterinary Technician Program is the largest in Ohio. Our faculty is comprised of nine veterinarians and 13 Registered Veterinary Technicians! Who better to learn from than those who practice in the field? As individuals who have employed registered technicians throughout their careers, our faculty knows what skills clinics, hospitals, and zoos are looking for in their veterinary technicians!
Our goal is to make sure you are comfortable performing those skills before you graduate. We use a personalized, career-focused approach to give you hands-on training in the veterinary field, including a heavy emphasis on technical and communication skills—two of the skills most valued by employers. Our vet tech classes are held in spacious, well-lit classrooms and labs, so you learn not only the substance of what a vet tech does, but the look and feel of the profession you are entering. Our labs also boast the latest technology, which means that you will learn your skills on equipment you will use in practice after you graduate, such as our digital dental x-ray machine. You will also purchase a laptop, and use it daily in your classes. Our strong emphasis on technology ensures that you will be able to hit the ground running, with no fear of the software you may be asked to use!
Join us to begin your career today! Our faculty invite you to tour the campus and sit in on their classes so that you may experience first-hand the distinct difference a Stautzenberger education can make for you.

As a veterinary technician, you may conduct clinical work in a private practice under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
