A Day in the Life of an Entrepreneur*
Problems are solved by those who see them. Business entrepreneurs launch new businesses to meet the needs or solve the problems that they have identified. They provide vision and structure for the new organization, from concept to implementation. And in the process, they secure autonomy and control over their own career futures!
As a business entrepreneur, you may:
- Create your business plan
- Secure financing to launch your business
- Develop a marketing and growth plan
- Develop systems and protocols to support your growth
- Network with other business owners
- Hire, manage and terminate employees
Entrepreneurs thrive in a “down market.” The flexibility and rapidity with which small companies can maneuver gives entrepreneurs advantages over larger, traditional companies. Experts point to less competition, lower costs, and ease of hiring and retention as factors favoring entrepreneurs in a recessionary environment! Because entrepreneurs build their own business, income varies on the success of the business.
