The Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology program is designed for the student who aspires to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. This 27-month program is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and prepares graduates to perform a wide variety of medical procedures, to produce diagnostic radiographs, anesthesia administration, surgical assisting, and to serve as a vital member of the veterinary health care team.
The Associate Degree in Animal Welfare and Management is designed to provide learners with the core knowledge, skills and attitudes required for employment in animal care and management industries, with a primary focus on the companion animal sector. This program is 100% delivered in a distance-based online format. Program courses and instruction are designed to educate students in the care and management of domestic and exotic species, and to provide exposure to fundamental principles in animal husbandry, animal law, and animal welfare and ethics. Coursework in business operations and management focus the student on the essentials skills and knowledge related to the operation of safe, healthy, and sustainable animal care facilities are also included.
The Veterinary Office Assistant Certificate program has been designed as a 16-week online program that prepares students to become effective veterinary office administrators and to serve as vital members of the veterinary health care team. This program provides emphasis on activities relating to veterinary office administration, financial procedures relevant to veterinary practice, communicating effectively and compassionately with clients, managing medical records, budgeting, marketing, managing inventory, and common health issues in veterinary practice. This program is designed to prepare the student to take the Veterinary Office Assistant Certification (CVOA) exam through the National Career Certification Board.
A professional grooming career allows animal enthusiasts a creative profession that is fulfilling! Not only do groomers get to use their artistic abilities but contribute to the overall health and well-being of a variety of animals. The Basic Animal Grooming program prepares students for career opportunities in animal hospitals, boarding kennels, animal shelters, pet grooming establishments, pet training schools, and pet shops. Students will learn to identify dog breeds, maintain grooming equipment, bathing and drying techniques, dog anatomy, basic grooming patterns, and health & safety concerns. Follow your passion and love of animals in a short 6 week basic grooming program.
This 100 hour (Level 1) course prepares students for a career as an animal health professional whereby the graduate will utilize their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques to improve an animal’s physical well-being through the performance of small animal massage. The curriculum is a hybrid educational program that combines online and practical hands-on training. The course includes emphasis in 6 learning domains and matches and/or exceeds the curriculum guidelines set forth by the National Board Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage.
The American Bar Association Approved Associate Degree Program in Paralegal Studies at Stautzenberger College, Brecksville is designed to provide students with the “hands-on” experience and knowledge necessary to perform the functions of a paralegal while understanding the professional and ethical responsibilities of the position. The program faculty includes practicing attorneys and judges licensed in the State of Ohio. Students also gain additional practical skills through internship experiences.

Stautzenberger College, Brecksville is approved by the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools to offer Associate Degrees in Animal Welfare and Management Broadcast Captioning, Court Reporting, Paralegal Studies, and Veterinary Technician. The College is also approved by the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools to offer a Diploma in Foundations of Animal Care and Administration, and certificates in Basic Animal Grooming, Small Animal Massage and Veterinary Office Assistant.
